After Arch’s now infamous GRUB update of 2023, which crippled me and many other users, I decided rolling releases are not for me. Having cutting-edge software may sound appealing, but even with my rigorous BtrFS snapshotting system with  rollback, I still lost some files. So I started looking for alternatives. After a good experience with Fedora on a VM, I started reading about Fedora Silverblue: having the stability of Fedora, but with an immutable core.

Step 1: Installation

Begin by downloading the Fedora Silverblue ISO from the official website. Create a bootable USB drive using tools like Rufus or Etcher. Boot from the USB drive and follow the on-screen instructions to install Silverblue on your system.

After installation, set up your user account and configure your system settings. Connect to the internet, update your system, and explore the default applications that come pre-installed with Silverblue.

Step 3: Managing Applications
